Biblical Waters, and Egyptian Astrology
Egyptian Astrology and the Bible
The oldest known Spiritual Text was written in a language which the Egyptians (Kemet in their lanuage) referred to as Metu- Neter, or "The Word of God", sometimes referred to as the "Pyramid Text" or the Coffin Text" it was discovered on the Mummified Coffin of "Tut Ankh Amun" and has been dated as far back as 10,000 BC.
By the 18th Century, and archivist at the British Museum, Wallis Budge had referred to it as "The Egyptian Book of the ", yet its message pertained to the transition into the afterlife of the Deceased, the various stages which the soul travels after , into the Judgement overseen by Maat who represented Divine Law and Justice. The Diety Anubis assists with the weighing of the Heart against the feather of Truth.
This was the earliest known depiction of the "After Life" and the earliest known "Judgement " Scene.
The Egyptian Zodiac later discovered at the Temple of Dendara, is inscribed in the Construction of the Giza Complex which includes three Pyramids, of the more than 90 Pyramids which can be found between Egypt and the Sudan, and the Great Sphinx which was later referred to by the Prophet Ezekiel;
"And the paneling of the Holy Places of the Temple was made with Cherubs....... and two faces were to Cherub, the face of a man, toward the Palm tree from here, and a young Lion"s face toward the Palm tree from there. It was made to all the house round, and round..... on the wall of the Temple." ( See: Ezekiel 41:18)
The term "Kerubrin" is one who prays or "one who intercedes the "Cherubrim" or "Kerubrin" are a combination of two of four creatures.
The construction of Gizah Complex The Great Pyramid, two adjacent Pyramids, and the Sphinx centered around a Cellestial event called "The Procession of Equinoxes". The Procession is caused by a wobble in the Earth"s rotation on its Axis.
As a result of this "Wobble", the Earth shadow of its Equator in space, or "Cellestial Equator" appears to change its position over the course of thousands of years. This Movement known as the "Precession of Equinoxes", because it is most easily observable at places where the "Celestial Equator" crosses the Zodiac.
In particular the Precession results in the Equinoxes moving slowly backwards along the Zodiac, passing through one Zodiacal Constellation every 2,160 years ( a Celestial Age) and through the entire Zodiac every 25,920 years ( The Egyptian Great Year).
The Shadow of the wobble of the Earth"s Cellestial North Pole ( North Pole"s shadow in Space) is referred to as the "Ecliptic", and completes its cycle every 25,920 years.
The Ancient Egyptians developed the World"s oldest Calendar, by dividing the various realtionships between the Earth , the Moon, and the Sun, into twelve ages, which today compose our modern Calendar.
These twelve Constellations of the Egyptian Zodiac, include a Starbelt which rings around the Ecliptic and extends approximately 7 degrees North and South .
The twelve Constellations of the Egyptian Zodiac include Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagitarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pices ( Our current Age).
Each day as Earth turns from West to East, the Sun appears to move across the sky from East to West. Since the Earth"s Axial Precession is clockwise ( east to west) it is in opposition to its annual path around the Sun.
The Greek Astronomer Hipparchus ( 127 BC) is given credit for discovering this "Precession of Equinoxes", yet clearly this very Precession is inscribed in Ancient Egyptian Archetecture several thousand years earlier.
The Great Sphinx was the last Construction Project of the Giza Complex, and was completed during the Constellation of Leo the Lion around 10,970 BC.
During each year, the earth"s Movement along its orbit cause the Stellar background against which the Sun is seen to rise changes from Month to Month. Currently on the Vernal Equinox , Sunrises due East between Pices and Aquarius, placing us in the Biblical Waters, between the birth of Yeshua ( the Christ) and the establishment of the Kingdom of Yah.
The Earth"s Orbit causes gradual shifts through all 12 Houses of the Zodiac spending some 2,160 years in each sign, completing its Circuit every 25,920 years.
This "Precessional Drift" is in opposition to the annual path of the Sun- Leo- Cancer-Gemini-Taurus-Aries-Pices-Aquarius. And since the direction of the Earth"s slow axial Precession is clockwise ( east to west) opposing the Earth"s normal directional path around the Sun.
In relation to the Zodiac which lies fixed in Space, causing the point at which the Spring Equinox occurs to move along the Earth"s normal directional path around the Sun. In relation to the Zodiac which lies fixed in space, causing the point at which the Spring Equinox occurs to move along the Ecliptic in an opposite direction to the yearly course of the Sun.
Equinoxes occur only twice a year, ushering in the Seasons of Spring and Fall, and Days and Nights are of equal length.
The Osirian Myth and the Precession
The so-called "Osirian Myth" is central to understanding Egyptian Astrology, as well as Ancient Egypt"s impact on the birth of Christian Doctrine.
Egyptologist Wallis Budge gave one of the more detailed accounts of the Osirian Myth,
".........the Goddess Rhea (Nut) the wife of Helios (Ra) was beloved by Krorus (Seb). When Helios discovered the intrigue, he cursed his wife and declared that she should not be delivered of her child in any month, or in any year.
Then the God Hermes who also loved Rhea, played the tables with Selene and won from her the seventieth part of each day of the year, which added together, made five whole days. These he joined to the three hundred and sixty days which the year then consisted. Upon the first of these five days was Osiris brought forth, and at the moment of his birth, a voice was heard to proclaim the "Lord of Creation was born".
In the course of time he became the King of Egypt, and devoted himself to Civilizing his subjects and teaching them the craft of husbandman, he established a code of Laws, and bade men worship the Gods. Having made Egypt peaceful and flourishing, he set out to instruct the other Nation"s of the World.
During his absence, his wife Isis so well ruled the State, that Typhon (Set) the evil one, could do harm to the realm of Osiris. When Osiris came again Typhon plotted with seventy-two comrades to slay him, and secretly got the measure of the body of Osiris, and made ready a fair Chest, which was brought into Banqueting Hall when Osiris was present together with other Guests.
By a rise Osiris was induced to lie down in the Chest, which was immediately closed by Typhon (Set) and his fellow conspirators, who conveyed it to the Mouth of the Nile. These things happened on the seventeenth day of the Month of Hathor, when Osiris was in the twenty-eighth year of his Reign.
The first to know of what happened was the Pans and Satyrs who dwelt hard by Panopolis, and finally the news was brought to Isis at Coptos, whereupon she cut off a lock of hair and put on mourning Apparel.
She then set out in deep grief to find her Husband" s body, and in the course of her wanderings she discovered that Osiris had been united with her sister Nephthy"s and that Anubis the offspring of the Union, had been carried by the sea to a Tamarisk Tree, which in a very short time had grown to a magnificent size and had enclosed the Chest within its Trunk.
The King of the Country admiring the Tree cut it down and made a Pillar for the Roof of his House of that part which contained the body of Osiris. When Isis heard of this she went to Byblos and gaining the admittance to the Palace through the report of the Royal Maidens, she was made a nurse to one of the King's sons. Instead of nursing him in the normal way, she gave him a finger to suck, and each night she put him in the fire to consume his mortal parts.
Changing herself the while into a swallow and bemoaning her fate. But the Queen once happening to see her son in flames, cried out, and thus deprived him of Immortality.
Then Isis told the Queen her story and begged for the Pillar which supported the Roof. Then she cut open and took out the Chest, and her husband"s body , yet her lamentations were so loud, that one of the Royal children died of fright.
She then brought the Chest by Ship to Egypt, where she opened it and embraced the body of her husband, weeping bitterly. Then she sought the son Horus in Lower Egypt,, first hiding the Chest.
Set recognizing the body, tore it into fourteen pieces, which he scattered up and down throughout the Land. When Isis heard this she took a boat made of Papyrus, abhorred by crocodiles, and sailing about she gathered the fragments of Osiris"s body.
Wherever she found one piece, she built a tomb. But now Horus grown up, being encouraged to do battle with Set, the er of his Father. The fight lasted many days and Set was made captive.
But Isis to whom the care of the prisoner was given, set him at Liberty. Horus in rage tore from her head the Royal Diadem, but Thoth gave her helmet in the shape of a Cow"s head. In two subsequent battles between Horus and Set, Horus was the victor.
Isis regained all the parts to her husband"s body ( except the phallus, to which she built Temples and Oblisks in honor) and reconstituted him, bringing him back to life.
The Ressurection of Osiris became the Pantheon of High Priests , Kings, and Queens of Egypt who saught rebirth in a Stellar realm, and a place in Stellar Eternity. Budge further noted
"Osiris was the God through whose sufferings and the Egyptian hoped that his body might rise again in some transformed or glorified shape, and to him who had conquered and had become the King of the other world, the Egyptian appealed in prayer for Eternal Life through Victory and Power." ( See : Budge, Wallace "The Egyptian Book of the ").
The commonalities between this earlier Myth of Osiris, and the later story of the Ressurection of Christ cannot be denied. And both are entwined into the Egyptian Zodiac, with Christ"s birth ushering in the age of Aquarius, his cruxification and Ressurection ushering the Equinox.
Each of Yeashua"s twelve disiples (or disiplines) represents and age of the Zodiac.
