To  get  a  clearer  picture  of  the  Dogon  we  must  examine  briefly  their  "Creation  Myth".  The  Dogon  had  begun  in  Egypt  and  later  migrated  to  West  Africa.  Their  advanced    Astronomy  knowledge   concerning  Sirius  ,  indicates   (  due  largely  to  its  Alignments    with  Sirius  and  Orion)  they  were  the  likely  main  Archetecs  of  the  Great   Pyramids  at  Giza.

  According  to  the  Dogon   Creation  Myth,  the  Creator  Amma (manifested  as  a  Pale  Fox)    was  born  without   a  placenta,   so  therefore  robbed  of  his  female  counterpart  ,  yet  procreates  with  Mother  Earth,  to  form  a  Jackal,  which  according  to  one  account,

                                                                                           "......bringing  imperfection  into  the  World,  an  act  redeemed  by  Amma's  Creation  of  Nommo,  Aquatic  Beings   who  bring    the  material  in  their  Ark,  and  subsequent  development  of  Dogon  Ancestors,  crafts  and  History.
